Last month I had in my hands the new Mevf and thought they must be happy, they have at last what they really needed and asked for: a visoflex. But perhaps now they understand rangefinder is a thing from the past and M mount only makes sense because there are thousands to trade with and a good money to get from lens manufacturing and selling. As you say the wrong box for a new content. I bought later a digital CL, which I recommend you, if you still find one inexpensive, and still nostalgically keep an M7. No more please
.. i put black tape over the Brand & preferred Black Finish - so taped the corners to limit ‘brassing .. to this day, have never purchased a ‘new camera or lens.. this aside from a succession of Waterproof ‘point & shoot’ who ‘died (flooded) while snorkelling the subtidal salt waters of the Caribbean .. (that aside from my son leaving one on a patio table in Cuba..)
After almost 3 years of algorithmic invisibility as a ‘hypermedia generalist am fascinated by the evolving phenom of ‘backscratching for - (fill in the blank) - & ‘backstabbing for (fill in the blank) Gotta say today.. that I had no idea so many photographers rely on their snapshots as ‘emotional lifeboats - but can say the same re so many ‘writers & ‘artists here !
‘Thin Skin’ syndrome is certainly rampant here in ‘stacklandia ..
& one might speculate ‘backscratching within ‘factional cohorts is rife..
For those suffering persistent ‘re-occurring creative block’ with cameras ?

I also did the black logos and the tape. But I just didn’t want to shill anymore for a company that was coning people into reckless consumption. I like the range finder, but not enough to not live by my morals. Their film cameras are great, but even their prices are highly inflated now. There are just so many better digital cameras in every way for less money to justify the madness. And yes better is subjective and someone will be quick to provide some justification as to why digital Ms are better, but not for me and not for most.
.. am just so tired of the backscratching / logrolling / emotional neediness or angst - & have little sympathy to spare for ‘daily newsletter creative block’ & especially with Comorbid ‘Issues.
It’s my ‘some wild ass guess (SWAG) I’ve a Reciprocity Score or Ratio of .007 to 500 - translation ? - of the hundreds I visit via Posts or Notes daily - comment upon, explore, learn from, reflect upon or re-read, screen cap, I might average 2 to 4 ‘Likes ❤️ per week via my Notes, ReStacks, Comments & My Home Site has approx 80 Posts Total & approx 200 ❤️ Total.
It may be the Only ‘All Ages Site on ‘substack.. Includes Zero Politics or Religion.. How does that fare & Score re ‘Reciprocity ? I could Post ‘squirrel, cats, puppies or ‘50 word Horror, bodice Ripper boner shite, or Bible Quotes twice yearly & top that with one hand wavin free & ‘standing on my head

After adding a few in the last few months, am now considering ‘parking the ‘salamander horde ‘in stasis - (hibernation in ‘substack nation’) & returning here with a ‘hewbhandle as ‘incognito misfit or ‘die tasty death’ & deigning to ‘Post some Notes’ .. more than 12 times annually .. can one ‘Note some Posts ? Which does the mighty Algorithm favour ? In the race to the basement of ‘substack - it ‘pays to not miss a trick..
